The Peatlands Immersive Installation

The Peatlands is an immersive installation highlighting the biodiversity and wild beauty found in the blanket bog habitats of Ireland. A multimedia essay, narrated through the voice of the natural and built worlds, the work combines animated collage, field recordings, sound sculpture and video. The exhibition amplifies areas designated as Special Areas of Conservation (SAC), or Natura sites, protected for their primordial role and the ecological treasures found within.

The Peatlands continues to evolve. In the past, featured artists have included Tina Claffey, Kathrine Geoghegan, Paola Catizone, Myles O’Reilly, Charleen Hurtubise, Fergus O’Hagan, Shauna O’Reilly, and the work of Lisa Dowling Scott.
